  Review volume and rating across Google, Yelp and Facebook, weighted so a long, steady record counts for more than a handful of five-star reviews.

• An established business

  Years in business and a consistent public presence: a working phone number, a website, and a listing customers can actually find.

• Serves the city it's featured in

  We feature companies in the city they operate from. A business can be featured in one city per edition.

• Confirmed by the owner

  Featured companies are invited to confirm their phone number, hours and services, so homeowners get details that are current.

The full scoring method is published on the methodology page. Listings and rankings are never influenced by whether a business buys anything.
